Sheena
"A core group of women who share the same passion can create magic."

Sheena is one of five spirited sisters and claims to have been the "tom boy" of the group with two left feet when it came to dancing. She was more likely to be seen at a hockey or baseball game rooting for her favorite team. Rumor also has it, that she was the ringleader for several mischievious adventures with her sisters....
Sheena has a son whom was taking Karate lessons at a local studio where she befriended the owner and signed up for cardio-kick boxing. She loved it! However, it was short lived due to an untimely accident that injured her right wrist leaving it impossible for her to apply the constant weight needed, much less punch with it.
It was during that time, her friend told her about belly dancing, how much fun classes were and that it was just as good, if not better, for exercise than the kick boxing. Her friend dared her to take a class and see for herself. Sheena is not one to refuse a dare and within the month she had signed up for class with Rose Champagne. She was hooked!
Sheena participated in her first show, Jewel of the Valley, in May 2003, and also danced at the Greenfield Community College in December 2003. Taking classes and performing on stage and in local small restaurants has helped develop her self confidence and her ability express herself through dance. The passion, friends, sisterhood and love of life are her main focus in celebrating the joy of belly dancing and sharing this joy with the community.
And those two left feet? Sheena ditched those long ago....
